Veterans’ Services Coordinator Available at Sen. Stack’s Bustleton Avenue Office
PHILADELPHIA, May 1, 2012 — State Sen. Mike Stack said today that a veterans’ services coordinator is now available at his Bustleton Avenue district office to assist former service men and women.
Joseph Buckley, a veteran with extensive veteran outreach experience, will be available every Friday morning by appointment at Stack’s district office at 8016 Bustleton Ave. to help veterans and their families with various issues, including housing for homeless vets, access to medical services, obtaining deceased vets’ medals for surviving families and more.
Buckley, of Mayfair, is a retired Marine and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled American Veterans, and the Marine Corps Association. He also currently serves as Assistant Department Service Officer for VA Regional Service Office in Philadelphia and Coatesville.
“As a former Marine, Joe understands that veterans have unique needs, and his professional experiences assisting fellow vets make him a great addition to my office,” Stack said. “Veterans are always welcome to my office for any assistance, and now they can get expert advice and direction from an experienced veterans’ services specialist.”
