Stack: Local Pharmaceutical Distributor Gets $1 Million Grant

PHILADELPHIA, DEC. 8, 2009 — Dixon-Shane LLC, a local pharmaceutical distributor, will receive $1 million state grant to acquire and renovate a warehouse and terminal at 10049 Sandmeyer Lane in Northeast Philadelphia, according to state Sen. Mike Stack.

The $2 million project is expected to preserve 23 jobs and create eight new jobs in three years. The PIDC Financing Corporation is the sponsoring agency.

“Preserving and improving our economy is so important, so I’m pleased that Pennsylvania continues to support local manufacturers who want to grow in our own community,” Stack said. “I’m pleased to announce this latest round of state funding and I hope we can continue to encourage companies to build and expand here in Northeast Philadelphia.”

Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority provided the state funding.
