Philadelphia, Feb. 25, 2011 — Sen. Mike Stack joins students from Father Judge High School at the Feb. 24 announcement of Earned Income Tax Credit scholarships to 23 local parochial, charter and early learning center schools. Families across Northeast Philadelphia received a total of $253,000 in scholarships. EITC allows businesses to make donations to scholarship organizations and receive up to a 90 percent tax credit for their donation. In return, the scholarship organizations provide scholarships to families to send their children to a school of their choice.
